WATCH OUT FOR PALM OIL!

ry corporations. I have so much respect for vegans/vegetarians but some of these products still include palm oil as it is not an animal product, so watch out for it!! Other facts about Palm oil: - orangutans are considered pests to Palm oil farmers, so they are mercilessly slaughtered through various methods which include being run over by excavation equipment, and other means which are even more horrible and I won't say. - it is legal for Palm oil to be labelled as "vegetable oil" in Australia and multiple other countries. SO BEWARE!! - over the past 20 years 50,000 orangutans have been killed thanks to Palm oil - 10kg of Palm oil is consumed every year by the average western citizen -1.8 billion tonnes of greenhouse gas is emitted into the atmosphere ANNUALLY due to burning of Indonesian peatland (to make room for more Palm oil farms) - Palm oil is the cause of the endangerment of 236 plant species and 51 animal species - the Palm oil industry is one of the largest industries that promote child labour (the children are often not payed at all or payed below the standard wage) and forced adult labour.
